Overview
In today’s construction and civil engineering industry, regular inspection of work is common practice to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects.
The role of a site inspector/clerk of works/resident engineer plays a crucial role to ensure that work is meeting quality standards, complying with legislation and that agreed project and financial targets are achieved.
To achieve this qualification, candidates will have to demonstrate that they have the suitable level of technical competence to manage thorough and effective site inspections that will contribute to the overall success of a project.
Candidates will be assessed to the industry recognised National Occupational Standards (NOS) that have been developed by the Sector Skills Council (SSC).
