Overview

For any construction and civil engineering projects, the pre-construction phase provides the foundation to the successful delivery of the project.

As construction methods and technology advances, the make-up of the design team is becoming increasingly diverse. Therefore, there is a demand for key individuals that can manage and channel various design proposals into final design solutions.

To achieve this qualification, candidates will have to demonstrate that they can liaise effectively with clients to clarify/develop a suitable design brief, communicate design requirements effectively to other key members of the design team and assess design proposals in line with the overall project goals.

Candidate’s will be assessed to the industry recognised National Occupational Standards (NOS) that have been developed by the Sector Skills Council (SSC).
