The safe and responsible management of construction sites requires the manager to maintain an overview of workers’ health and safety requirements and behaviour. The nineteen mandatory units involved will ensure candidates have the skills to oversee all parts of site management including preparing the site, controlling progress, establishing communications procedures and all aspects of health and safety.

There are an additional 6 units from which the candidates must choose two. These allow a manager to tailor the programme to their needs.

Candidates will be assessed to the industry recognised National Occupational Standards (NOS) that have been developed by the Sector Skills Council (SSC)
